USO Cards

For three years, Alpha Phi Omega at Roanoke College has been a direct partner with organizations that support the U.S. military. Each month cards are made or coupons are clipped and sent to troops stationed all over the United States and over seas. We also have several members who develop pen pals from these experiences!

VOTBR Bingo

In partnership with the Miss Roanoke Valley Organization, Alpha Phi Omega volunteers in hosting BINGO for the local community on Friday and Saturday nights in Roanoke City. With close access to school, usually half of our members are able to participate each weekend!

Relay for Life

Relay for Life is a big party at Roanoke College and Alpha Phi Omega has been actively participating for many years. Last year, our group raised over $1,000 to help celebrate more birthdays! We provide fun and enetertainment during the walk, as well as supporting a national cause.

Micah's Backpack

In joint participation with the Chaplain's Office at Roanoke College, Alpha Phi Omega participates in donate drives and fundraisers for Micah's Backpack. It allows for food and money to be collected to feed those children whose families cannot afford to feed them, all locally donated.

Habitat for Humanity

Roanoke College and Alpha Phi Omega have been active participants in Habitat for Humanity since the school joined forces to create a safer Roanoke and Salem Community. We have many brothers who participate each Saturday in building homes for those in need in our community.

West End Center

Alpha Phi Omega adopted the West End Center of Roanoke, Virginia as their philanthropy in late 2012. We actively participate in Field Days, serve as tutors, and provide fundraisers to provide better opportunities for the children of the Roanoke Valley.
